Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

Your use of tiplivo.com (the "Site") is governed by the terms below. By continuing to use the Site you agree to them.

The tool this page covers is TipLivo, a tip calculator. Put simply, it works out the tip, the total and each person's share, with quick percentages, a pre- or post-tax switch, bill splitting and rounding, and the way it does so is this: it applies the percentage to the bill, optionally before or after tax, then divides the total by the number of people and can round to whole units, so the numbers a group actually pays add up to the bill. Everything stated here applies to that tool and the values it handles, and to nothing else.

Everything the tool works with — the bill amount and party size you enter — is handled locally. It is usually reached for things like splitting a taxi fare evenly, and because nothing is transmitted a visitor can close the tab knowing no copy was made anywhere.

The service we provide

TipLivo offers a tip calculator, free to use, together with supporting explanations. Every result is an estimate computed from what you supply, following the method set out on the page itself. Financial results depend on assumptions about rates, contributions and taxes that will not hold exactly, and are illustrative rather than advice.

Not professional advice

Browsing or using tiplivo.com does not create a professional relationship, an advisory duty or any obligation on our part towards you.

Which law applies

Applicable law is that of the operator's jurisdiction, regardless of conflict-of-law provisions.

Not financial advice

Anything money-related rests on simplified assumptions and is provided for illustration. It is not advice, it will not match reality exactly, and a licensed adviser should be consulted before a decision is taken on it.

Accuracy of results

The methods are chosen carefully and described on the page, but no output is warranted to be free of error, complete or current. Where a recognized margin applies, read the figure as an estimate.

Acceptable use

Personal and professional use is fine. What is not: disrupting the Site, scraping it hard enough to slow it for others, passing it off as your own, or using it unlawfully.

Intellectual property

The design, wording and code are ours or used under license unless credited otherwise. Linking is encouraged; reproducing large sections needs written permission.

How the Site is funded

Third-party adverts keep the Site free and external links appear for convenience. We vouch for neither, and neither can change an output.

Changes and downtime

The Site comes as it is, with no uptime guarantee. Tools and pages may be changed, suspended or withdrawn at any time.

Liability

So far as the law allows, we accept no liability for indirect or consequential losses, nor for any choice made in reliance on an output from the Site.
